Dung Wong
Dung is the computer expert at the Arts Division of UCSC. This man never ceases to amaze me with his knowledge of Apple computers or his patience at helping people with their computer problems.
If I were to pick a team of 5 people to launch a company, any company, he would be my first pick for "VP in charge of equipment purchases, customer service, geek guruness, and working with good people."
In June of 2005 I was asked to help evaluate Dung, here is some of my response.
I have worked with Dung Wong for over 3 years now and I consider him one of the most competent technical people I have ever met. I wish I could give you feedback that would assist you in critiquing Mr. Wong, but all I can offer is praise. I am constantly impressed with his knowledge and eagerness to solve problems. He seems organized and self-motivated. When Dung does not know an answer he researches it quickly.
The only drawback in knowing Dung is that it is easy to be lackadaisical when you share a load of work with him, because you know that he will handle it if you fail to do so.
Quite simply, Dung is brilliant and a pleasure to work with.
